Secured by Design is the UK police flagship initiative supporting the principles of ‘Designing out Crime’ by use of effective crime prevention and security standards for a range of applications.
The award is given when a development or product has reached a minimum standard of physical security.
Rowan Timber have tested a range of doors and door sets at the independent laboratories of "Chiltern International" and now meet the Secured By Design standard. Tests are categorised as PAS 23 and PAS 24

This door also has been fire tested by Chiltern and meets a 1/2 fire rating, which is not a requirement of Secured by Design.
