Rowan Timber has invested heavily over a number of years in modern timber processing technology at our milling and treatment facility at Plains, near Airdrie, Lanarkshire. Our investment programme in state-of-the-art machining equipment, includes two hugely versatile CNC Routers, Moulding machines, Beam Saws and an Edgebander.

The combination of top quality machining equipment and our staff give us unrivalled ability to cut, shape, edge and trim the full range of timber. We can turn our bulk orders of flooring, skirting, dado rails, cill boards and other machine finished products and deliver them on a ‘Just in Time’ basis, to meet the demands of major corporate clients and national house builders.

We also offer a comprehensive wood treatment service using the VACSOL Aqua trademarked process, applied in a double vacuum low-pressure plant, to provide effective protection against fungal and insect attack. VACSOL Aqua treated timber used in Hazard Classes 1 and 2 applications are treated to a desired service life of 60 years.
